Chief Keef and Zaytoven have reunited

More than a year after connecting on the Trapping Made It Happen cut “Flees,” Keef and Zaytoven are back with a joint effort called GloToven. The 12-project includes the previously released single “Spy Kid,” as well as a guest appearance by Lil Pump (“Old Heads and Regretful Hoes”).

“[GloToven] one of my favorite albums,” Zaytoven said in a press release, “because it challenges me to produce with youthful, unorthodox creativity.”

The project marks Sosa’s first full-length release since The Leek Vol. 7, a 12-track tape that arrived back in January. It also follows a grip of other Zaytoven collaborative joints, including A with Usher, 6toven with Foolio, and Beast Mode 2 with Future.

Destiny P Releases New Single “Jungle”

Fresh face Destiny P has released new music

Songwriter, singer, rapper, and flautist Destiny P has released a new single, “Jungle”, with the Tablemannerz DJs.

Destiny P began her musical career at the tender age of 6 with musical influences from her dad, Glen Watson, who DJed and played instruments along with her uncle, DJRo. Destiny played the organ and later learned to play the flute, saxophone, and bassoon by her music teachers and band director.

Destiny P – “Movement”

Her successful modeling career started her fan base, and it expands into the music industry where she now writes music, raps, sings, and plays the flute. Destiny’s first EP, “Release Me EP,” debuted 6.9.17 and she hopes to spark change in the minds of others with her vibrant poetic sound. She works with a set few of producers, and her musical influences stem from Tupac, Left Eye, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, and Beyonce. The message Tupac carries in his music along with the stories inspire her to write. Destiny being a writer of poetry where boundaries can be crossed, Erykah Badu and Lil Wayne have a fun twist to their style of writing and wordplay which is similar to her music. Destiny is multitalented and would not mind picking up her saxophone again.

During the fall of 2017 at A3C, Destiny has opened up for Haitian Mufasa from VH1’s signed hosted by Rick Ross (MMG), The Dream (Radio Killa Records), and Lenny S (Roc Nation) and Skippa Da Flippa of the hit record label QC (@flippahavin). The Release Me EP was up for Grammy consideration for best rap album. Destiny lives by the mantra: Put your mind to it, and you can reach whatever goal you set!” Find more about Destiny P on destinywatson.com.

Gorilla Zoe and Zaytoven Release “I am Atlanta 4Ever”

February 22, 2019 by Dj RootsQueen

By Anne Carlson

Gorilla Zoe and Zaytoven have been a dynamic musical duo for close to a decade. The signature style they’ve established over the years has helped to influence an entire generation of rappers who’ve deconstructed their work and capitalized on their sound. But on I Am Atlanta 4ever, their latest project, the street prophet and the melodic producer delved deeper inside themselves to create a body of work that will be a tough act for mimickers to follow.

2009

Zoe, a product of the influential Atlanta culture, is knitted into the fabric of hip-hop. On this final installment of the four part series he started at the inception of his career, he offers autobiographical life lessons and more. The 10-song album is a seemingly endless roller coaster of emotions that offers a different vibe on each track that boasts digestible storytelling atop disrespectful 808 basslines. The cerebral MC clearly values lyrics; every verse on I Am Atlanta 4ever is purposeful. This artistic offering will appeal to those who appreciate soulful trap music that’s also soulfood. It’s motivational, empowering and inspirational with kernels of wisdom scattered throughout that resonate. Zaytoven sculpts his high-octane beats around the wordsmith’s zigzagging gruff vocals that showcase their kinetic chemistry.

2019

A brilliant culmination album that cements their legacy in the game, the southern-bred poet and the Bay-area musical genius make what they do seem easy. The streetwise slick talk melds perfectly with the harmonious melodies of the keys. Much like the classic pairing of peanut butter and jelly, Zoe and Zay are impressive independently, but extraordinary when paired together.
