Atlanta is the place to be in terms of being a Black Hollywood. Everyone knows the city is notorious for housing the biggest events, clubs, and movie sets. Chances are if you’re looking to break into any kind of show business, you thought once or twice on the notion of moving here. But, don’t ever get things twisted with social media. YOU NEED TO HAVE TALENT. Atlanta is a melting pot for talent, so unless your planning to hustle, work hard and be the best at what you do, you won’t make it. Famed fashion photographer Roshead Lockridge is a force of his own. What started out as him being an upcoming photographer booking aspiring models to shoot, has grown successfully into him shooting at the biggest red carpet events, reality TV screenings, political functions and more. 

This past weekend the CEO of ‘Lockridge Photos’ was front and center for the annual Black Music Honors event. The event honors legendary artists who have made a significant contribution to African American music. The event was taped at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts center in Atlanta. This year’s honorees included Freddie Jackson, Xscape, Yolanda Adams, Tamia, and Arrested Development. The event was hosted by famed comedian Rickey Smiley and Destiny’s Child former bandmate, LeToya Luckett. Take a look at some of his iconic high quality work below. ” The event was excellent well put together.. I got a chance to photograph some big names, and legendary music Icons like Freddie Jackson, Yolanda Adams, Kevin Campbell, Tony Terry and Xscape.. My goal is to eventually be a full time celebrity photographer along with red carpet credentials for major events like the Essences Awards and the Grammys.”
