Breadwinner Kane

Prepping the release of his official EP, Street Certified, Alabama rapper/CEO Breadwinner Kane is gearing up for his biggest presentation to date. With over 150k social followers anticipating the project, Street Certified features production from Zaytoven, Bugatti, and appearances by Fredo Bang, Haitian Fresh and more. The current single “Go Down”, featuring Mista Myles and produced by MikeMillzOnEm, is presently circulating on the airwaves.

In this exclusive interview for DJ Roots Queen’s “Rude Girl Radio”, we discuss his long history working with Zaytoven, his current tour plans, and more.

How would you describe your sound?
Trap, gangster rap, and a lil Rnb.

Who all have you worked with?
Kevin Gates, Juvenile, Project Pat, Haitian Fresh, Fredo Bang, Webbie, Zaytoven, Rocko, and so many others.

You’ve done quite a bit of work with Zaytoven. Give us the history of how you linked up and what have been the biggest records so far.
I linked with Zaytoven when I was working with Ox (R.I.P.). Also, we was doing some work with Big Cat back when Gucci had the single “So Icy.” I used to be in the basement at Zay’s parent’s house. His mom and dad are very nice people. He’s a real humble guy. He’s like my brother. The biggest track we have was “While She Talking” featuring Kevin Gates.

Tell us about your upcoming project. How do you think listeners & fans will react to it?
I put a lot of time into this project. I got club bangers and all. If you listen for the first five minutes you will understand what I mean — the fans have been waiting for a while so I think they’re gonna love this project.

Explain your involvement with BWA (Breadwinners Association). How did the business relationship come about? What is the current situation?
I’m not signed to them — we family though, always will be. Me and Gates locked in for life. We made some good music together, and as you can see, he’s on top of his game. I’m staying on top of mine, staying working, on my grind. I know the fans waiting on our next track. We will be working on something in the future. God is great.

What other projects/ventures do you have going on right now?
My new Ep Street Certified consists of seven tracks. I’ve been touring overseas. I
got 9-10 videos I’m dropping soon also. I just dropped a single called “Go Down” featuring Mista Myles from Africa, Ghana. The video will drop soon.

Anything else to let fans know about?
Put God first and believe in yourself when nobody else does.
