West Palm Beach rapper Luh T5 is that young, hungry artist that comes into the game turning heads with the consistency and the style to back it up. With a very fashionable look he can double as a model or actor, but music is his passion. He has been recording music since he was in high school and his Sophomore year is when he started taking it seriously. It’s ‘slime life’ all day for Luh T5 who says his biggest inspiration is Young Thug, so it comes as no surprise that Young Stoner Life Records is his dream label to one day sign with.

This is a true artist who brings a story to his lyrics and has that aura about him that gives anyone in his presence the vibes like you just know he is destined for greatness. Overall having the “it factor” is what will make you into a star. As an artist and entrepreneur his upcoming clothing line T5 Apparel’ is set to drop sometime in 2021. The line will carry his staple T-shirts available soon. He has not let the current pandemic slow down his hustle at all this year and he has been constantly in the studio sharpening up his craft and recording music. The rap industry is always a musical jungle and with the recent deaths we’ve lost this year alone, Luh T5 feels like what you rap about can sometimes come back to haunt you. He is not big on being flashy on social media, and the whole ‘superstar’ look is not really his cup of tea. More of a laid-back individual he prefers to let his music speak for him. A fan of Spiderman and lover of the arts we can expect to see him on the big screen as he plans to one day go into acting. He has been spending the tail end of his year traveling to Atlanta and other cities doing features and media runs. With a mixtape out now featuring Fireboy, and promoting his music with his team T5’s fans are ready for his album set to drop January 2021. Follow him on Instagram @luh_t5

Thanks to DIY uploads, artists taking charge of their own music streams, booking their own shows, with the help of social media and building a loyal fan base today you can do it 100% solo without a record label behind you.

When you think of the diversity in the Hip-hop Industry you cannot help but notice the rise of dope rap artists on the scene in Florida. The beach life is not the only wave to chase in the 305, and the music industry is full of opportunity for upcoming artists. All the major cities there have something to offer, and Miami is in the forefront with helping artists go mainstream.  J Staxx saw the opportunities that independent artists are accelerating from in their careers and in 2018 he decided to take his music seriously. With the support of his team, they began a movement of getting him seen and launching a budding career. He also mentions that his name relates to money and being successful, thus calling himself ‘J Staxx’. . When you listen to a J Staxx track you are getting a story and lyrics, where he is expressing the trials of surviving in the trenches. He is an artist that gives you substance, and really takes the time to put meaning behind what he is rapping about. The trap melodies he delivers are poetic and laced with bars of true-life situations he has experienced.

. What started out with him freestyling with his friends, evolved into 1 day taking it seriously and wanting to begin recording full songs. He believes his purpose is to make music and inspire people to chase their dreams. The soft-spoken artist is a deep thinker. He is working on not over-thinking his career choices and putting all his energy into the music. He grew up listening and being inspired by the Hot Boys and Cash Money who both heavily influenced his music. He is a spiritual man and says 2 of the major things he cannot live without are money and women, but do not get it twisted he is as humble as he is talented. J Staxx stays to himself when he is in his creative zone and prefers being in a peaceful place while working on his craft.  After living in Connecticut and Boston for a while before relocating to Florida, he has experienced the high and lows of the music styles in the north and the south giving him a culture advantage. Over the next 2 years he wants to consistently keep dropping music and growing his fan base. J Staxx is in the studio several days during the week and is dropping a new project weekly. When he is not recording, he spends his time in the gym staying fit and ready to tour. His plans for 2021 is to keep releasing new projects and he is willing to work with all types of artists and genres as long as the talent is there. @j_staxx

Miami has some of the hardest rappers in the industry. Not only is it a melting pot of different cultures, the entertainment scene is where some of the new wave of artists are really make some noise for themselves. Taseti has a signature flow, beautiful look, and her own sound. She brings something different to the Hip-Hop Industry. The Miami Hip Hop scene is sometimes overlooked simply because there is so much going on in the city, but a ‘dope’ rapper will always remain on everyone’s radar. Taseti has that pretty girl voice but when she opens her mouth to rap, you are always getting bars laced with a heavy rap flow. She most certainly has her own style and brings flavor to the industry. The talented MC came up with her name from a tribe in Egypt, and she fell in love with the meaning behind it regarding the African American culture being a ever-lasting impression in the history of Earth.

Working hard on her craft, Taseti is balancing her music career and motherhood. She has a young daughter who is 1 of her major inspirations. The amount of support and love for women who get up every day to raise their own, and still get out in the music business is what makes America a success. Here there are no rules, no norms to have to stick to. With Rolling Stone reporting in their Independent Artist Sector, that estimations included that independent artists generated $1.61 billion from recorded music in 2019… and that, in 2020, this figure will climb 32% to more than $2.1 billion. These numbers are proving everyday that artists can work hard, monetize their music, even control what type of music they put out to the world, and when they decide to. Taseti has been utilizing Soundcloud as her central music platform and has been releasing singles to build a following. She initially enjoyed poetry before her love for rapping and, is a true artist who prides herself on bringing substance into her catalog. With a dislike for the over-sexualizing in today’s music, she wants to bring authentic Hip-Hop without any gimmicks to her fans. She is heavily inspired by Nipsey Hussel and Lil Wayne. 2021 will be a big year in the music business and the hard work that Taseti has been putting in will resonate off everyone’s radars! W8LLAHI

The people who aren’t afraid to take risks in this world will ultimately make it to a level of success that they never imagined. W8llahi a native of ‘Little Haiti’ in Miami is not only talented with his music but is highly intelligent and encourages the Black community to think outside the box. When you look at how the music scene has had an increase of financially successful Indie artists, you cannot help but notice how the hardest working ones are the most gifted. The numbers don’t lie and the artists who are taking charge of their music catalog, their masters, and overall brand image are reeking the benefits of living as a signed mainstream artist, without having to deal with the ‘puppet strings’ attached with janky label contracts. Also having the leg room to move freely with DIY music uploads and the accommodation of social media to promote your own music, there is a whole new wave of hungry artists behind the scenes really putting in pressure. W8llahi is one of those artists.

Despite the Coronavirus Pandemic leaving the entertainment industry nearly in shambles, he has still managed to knock out some amazing show performances this past summer and even worked with 3x ATL Hip Hop Awards Winner, DJ Capo. Being very lyrically diverse, he is finishing his last quarter of the year strong with an upcoming project and dedicated plans for 2021. His upcoming project titled ‘Good Boy’ is on the way for his fans and will include 13 new tracks. After seeing him on the ‘Live with Carisha’ show some things his fans should know about him is that he is super down to earth and very chill. He is also a proud Republican and does not feel Black Americans should automatically vote Democrat because of the color of their skin. His favorite Female rapper is Erica Banks, so hopefully we can see a collab from the two in the future. When we asked his 1-year plan for his career he commented that he is determined to begin headlining some major Music events and hitting the top 100 charts.

Queens, New York’s finest, Rapper Tarxan sits down on ‘Live With Carisha’ in Atlanta for a in-depth 1 on 1 interview into the artist and his music.

The Independent Hip-Hop scene has been constantly evolving with sticking to a solid industry standard, where artists are taking control of their own music, streams, income, and branding.

Born in Guyana and raised in New York, rapper Tarxan may keep it low key while he is on the scene, but when it comes to his sound, he is 100% about putting all his energy and emotion into delivering powerful music. The artist is also a self-made entrepreneur, with his own growing brand ‘The Empire State of Mind’ a New York themed company that covers photography, artwork, music, and entertainment.

Crediting mega house artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, and Erykah Badu as his major influences, gives him the diverse pallet to cross over and appreciate other genres of music.

With everything going on in 2020 regarding the Pandemic, recent protests, and the closing of major cities around the world, the entertainment business has been hit the hardest. With a lack of shows and club appearances, many artists are going through the struggle of staying productive and booked. Hailing from the North with a slight edge of survival dust, Tarxan has been strategically putting out quality music and growing his online fan base. He mentions seeing a lot of growth in his music career from where he started, and always making it a goal to do better and be better with every project he drops. With a heavy following on Soundcloud, he has a new EP on the way ‘State of Mind’, as well as a collab with New York rapper, Dave East.
