BET’s ‘The Next Big Thing’ has announced the winner of their artist search. The hip hop docuseries competition, launched with the goal of finding a winning artist, who was diligent and dope enough to secure the bag and a  record deal.  ‘The up-and-coming artists were subjected to a development boot camp, where they were given access to top vocal coaches, trainers, choreographers, writers, producers, and glam squads to advance their careers. The final step is delivering what one of them hopes is a star-making performance in front of major label scouts’.

The show which aired every Tuesday, hosted panel judges Zaytoven Beats,  Grammy winning music producer, Dame Dash, Mogul and part founder of Roc A Fella Records, with famed music executive Tina Davis. Several artists auditioned for the spotlight, but only a handful of contestants made it on the show. Pretty Yellow managed to hold her own every week, and beat out the other contestants on the series. With a sexy girl next door mixed with Hip Hop flavor image, and a hungry appetite to win, the ‘No Hoe’ artist has kept her hustle strong after she made moves on the scene with rapper ‘Curren$y’ in the studio last spring. It’s been nothing but networking, recording and hard work since then and we are all happy for her. Her fans are looking forward to the next chapter in her career!! Her latest EP ‘Up Shit’ is out now on all platforms and has plenty of bops to hold you over for her next album hopefully coming soon. Follow her on Instagram @prettyyellow

Louisiana Rapper Boosie Badazz enlists Super-Producer Zaytoven on his Latest Release

Everyone is excited for the much anticipated project from Grammy winning producer, Zaytoven, and Hip Hop pioneer, Boosie Badazz. The first single on the project, ‘Dangerous job’, dropped tonight at midnight and the video premiers at 12 noon on Friday, August 30, 2019.

The song features rapper ‘Boosie’ rapping about the dangers of living in a hip hop fast paced world, and him having a ‘dangerous’ job of living up to his legacy. There is also a reference to the late Nipsey Hussle who was brutally gunned down in front of his business earlier this year. His vocals are amped and energetic per usual. The video was co-directed by Al Nuke and GT films.

” I feel like this project was long over due, and the streets deserve it”. Zaytoven

Boosie’s album with Zaytoven will be dropping September 20, and we are ready for some bops to jam to when the weather freezes up. Zaytoven who has been busy all summer filming for his reality show ‘The Next Big Thing’, on BET, working on his all female project, Zaytown Sorority, and shooting videos with dope names like Lil Yachty, has had a busy summer. Boosie, who just signed a new artist, California native, ‘Lil Blurry’, dropped a new cologne/ fragrance line, and has a line up of dope acts under his belt such as Dee Rogers and Og Dre Badazz, is following the blueprint to success with keeping his grind on the up and up.

Quality Control Music CEO ‘Pierre Thomas’ Speaks on Artists & Manager Relationships

The record business is no joke! Time and energy is a big part of making it far in the industry, but once money is involved things go to a whole new level. We have all witnessed the success and downfalls of musicians, lawsuits between manager and artists, even artists becoming #1 on the charts and admitting they are flat out broke due to poor management.

Atlanta based record label, Quality Control was founded by Kevin “Coach K” Lee, and Pierre “Pee” Thomas in 2013. They hands down have one of the hardest lineups in the game. Their rooster includes Platinum selling group “Migos”, “City Girls”, “Lil Baby”, “Dj Durel”, “Lil Baby”, “Lil Yachty”, and “Stefflon Don”. It takes serious hard work and dedication to build a foundation as solid as theirs, and they’re work ethic has to be without a doubt ,monumental with the impact of business in Hip Hop. It’s dope to see Pierre Thomas talking about the ups and downs that come with working in the industry and every aspiring person should definitely study up before taking that big leap!
