The talented and conscious ‘Ogechi’ may have hailed from the mother land of Africa, but Atlanta is quickly becoming more in love with her music and positive approach of advocating social awareness to Black history!

Ogechi has recently made her re emergence back into the social media world and music industry with a whole new style, and new music to follow. Known for her enchanting look, and strong powerful movement of being a true ‘woke’ artist she effortlessly uses her platform to uplift, inform, and teach the people about modern- day enslavement, and the challenging fight of racial equality. She gives a strong representation for young girls to look up to, and in a day in age where social media has created a ‘heathen’ mentality amongst the masses, it’s refreshing to see a women of color proudly stay true to her culture.

Not only is she a musician but she is a professional dancer, author, and a co-host of Rude Girl Radio Rude Girl Radio is all female podcast where she offers her voice, and knowledge about the heavily popular Hip-hop industry. She also hosts amazing interviews on the platform as well. Starting her career off doing poetry, she eventually got the ‘music bug’ and transitioned into a recording artist. With a very ‘dope’ lyrical delivery, her music ( Spotify) offers you knowledge about black culture, funk, even rock. To put her in a box would be undermining all her skills, and you are definitely going to want to tune in for her new weekly poetry readings starting this Sunday night at 11:11 p.m.

She will be reading from her 1^st book titled “Lost Negro Records.” This will be her debut 1^st run doing weekly poetry readings from her home which she calls “the Muva Ship.” The book is an informative piece that invites young people and the seasoned vets to open the door of Black consciousness and set their minds free. At a time where people of color are still being wrongfully executed by the police, misrepresented in the media, and facing the largest income gaps, now is the time to let go, become better educated about black history, and take in positive energy from a true Nigerian Queen. Crush Cuisine is a full-service catering company, that is not only mobile, but dedicated to delivering quality food and pleasing their customers. No event is to big, and no appetite is too small, because they pride themselves on delivering good food to 1 person or 100 people. I came to love them sometime last year when I had the liberty of having them cater a friend’s music release party. Maximizing my craft, and networking with other chefs.

I enjoy making anything that requires a grill and seafood.

When I am not saving multi-million-dollar homes from flooding, I am always experimenting with new ingredients, different food profiles and more.

I do not think I set myself apart at all. I am always willing to learn from the men and women alike that take on such artsy craft. We all have 1 goal at the end of the day and that’s to spread love and happiness through food which is what Crush Cuisine is about.

We at the blog pray that you’re all staying safe during these trying times in the world. Everyone has been impacted with what we have come to know as the ‘Coronavirus’ aka Covid-19. The virus began to hit the surface earlier this past January, and by April it’s now worldwide across the globe. Despite the world being at a complete stand still, it’s refreshing to see so many people staying positive and reaching out to others in need. 1 genre that seems to be growing and staying productive would have to be the music industry. Everyone is dropping major heat in the streets, and the labels are all on the look out for the next best thing. Several main-stream artists, have donated food, money, and essentials to the less fortunate. Thankfully we can keep you guys in the loop with the dopest indie artists making major waves on the scene. Our artist spotlight of the week is ‘K_Nemacis’.

This rising Hip-Hop star hails from Washington DC and is always grinding to push his sounds even farther. With 10 years plus working in the industry, and great new music out for his fans, he is definitely making things happen for himself. After chatting with us about his new project, we learned some very enlightening things about him. For 1, his main objectives are to perfect his craft and share his talent throughout the world. He just dropped a new EP “Ball to I Fall”, and we are loving it. The music has that up north swag, with hot punch lines and hard beats. Every song gives you something fresh for the streets. After listening I wasn’t sure rather I wanted to go hustle up a bag, or shoot a music video in Miami. Make sure you check out “King Kong.”

What was the overall idea behind the project?

My idea behind my new project was to give my fans something different with a new sound, but something everyone can relate to. Everyday life struggles, the good, the bad and the ugly. It doesn’t matter if u live in a mansion or the slums, we all have problems at the end of the day.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

My biggest inspiration I would have to credit 5 people. 2pac and Biggie made me fall in love with Hip-Hop. Lil Wayne, once he dropped ‘The Carter’ it motivated me to start writing. I started writing poetry first. Then I heard Gucci Mane and Young Dolph. They’re whole style, and everything about them seemed so genuine! They were the icing on the cake, and I been in the booth writing music ever since.

Describe your music in 1 word?

“Dope!” Because one line will have you addicted. You betta duck because I’m coming with punch lines and metaphors.

What is your favorite thing to do besides music and recording?

Besides music I love spending time with my daughter. That’s my heart. She is 9 years- old and she also started writing music… The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
